1. Introduction

Welcome to LocWise ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with applicable Israeli law, including the Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981 and Amendment 13.

2. Scope and data controller

LocWise is the controller of the personal data database collected through the website and is responsible for collecting, processing, and using information in connection with use of the website and contact forms.

3. Information we collect

  • Contact details: name, phone, email (as provided in the website contact form).
  • Usage and IP data: website behavior analysis via analytics tools (for example Google Analytics).
  • Technical information: cookies, preferences, and similar technologies (for example web beacons).
  • Location data (optional): if you choose to allow it in the browser.

4. Purposes of processing

  • Service and support: contact, meeting coordination, and sending proposals.
  • Service improvement: analyzing website use to adapt and improve services.
  • Ongoing communication: sending updates related to services/projects.
  • Legal compliance and information security.

5. Legal basis for processing

  • Consent for non-essential cookies (for analytics and similar purposes).
  • Legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation, for example authority requests or legal proceedings.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies for basic functionality, analytics, and preference storage. For non-essential cookies we request explicit consent via an appropriate banner when you enter the site.

7. Information security and data minimization

We take reasonable and accepted technological and organizational measures to secure information, including encryption, access controls and limited permissions, backups, and periodic reviews. We also apply principles of data minimization and Privacy by Design/Default, so that information is not collected or processed beyond what is required for the purposes for which it was provided.

8. Retention period

Data is retained for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, and is then deleted or securely anonymized/aggregated.

9. Transfers outside Israel

If personal information is transferred outside Israel, we do so only to destinations with an adequate level of protection or pursuant to appropriate legal mechanisms as required by Amendment 13.

10. Your rights

  • to request correction of inaccurate information;
  • to request deletion/restriction of processing or to withdraw consent — to the extent permitted by law.

We will handle requests within a reasonable time and in accordance with the law.

If a security incident occurs that may affect your rights or privacy, we will act in accordance with the law, including notification to competent authorities, and where required we will update you.

13. Software services, artificial intelligence, and WhatsApp Business

Locwise provides business customers with software, automation, artificial intelligence, and communications services using Meta’s WhatsApp Business platform. In these services, Locwise may process personal information on behalf of its business customers and according to their instructions.

13.1 Information processed

Processed information may include phone numbers, display names, message content, files, images, voice recordings, documents, send and receive timestamps, delivery and read status, interaction details, technical data, and identifiers related to the WhatsApp Business account.

13.2 Purposes of use

Information may be used to receive and send messages, provide automated or agent-assisted replies, analyze content using AI systems, sync with customer-management systems, perform business processes, secure the service, detect faults, provide support, and comply with legal requirements.

13.3 Roles: controller and processor

When Locwise processes messages for a business customer, the business customer is usually the controller of the information and Locwise acts as a holder or processor on its behalf. Locwise may act as an independent controller with respect to information related to account management, billing, security, support, and service operations.

13.4 Transfers to providers and third parties

To provide the service, information may be transferred to Meta and WhatsApp, cloud-infrastructure providers, model and AI-service providers, monitoring and security providers, and business systems that the customer chooses to connect to the service. Transfers are made only as needed to provide the service and in accordance with agreements and applicable law.

  • Primary cloud storage: messages, metadata, and service-related files are stored primarily in Supabase (managed PostgreSQL).
  • Application infrastructure: application infrastructure may run on Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, depending on the service and project configuration.
  • Meta / WhatsApp: message traffic passes through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Cloud API, subject to Meta’s applicable policies.

13.5 Artificial intelligence and model providers

Where the service includes AI use, message content may be sent to model providers to generate replies, classify information, extract data, transcribe content, or perform other actions defined by the business customer.

  • Model providers: Locwise uses OpenRouter as an API gateway to models and restricts routing to approved model providers — currently Anthropic (for example Claude) and OpenAI — without automatic fallback to other providers. Locwise may also use the OpenAI API directly (for example for embeddings) and, in some cases, Azure OpenAI, depending on the project configuration.
  • Model training: Locwise configures AI services to use providers and API routes that, under the terms applicable to them, do not use content submitted via the API to train their models by default. Locwise does not use message content to train its own models and does not voluntarily enroll in data-sharing or training programs. Any departure from this policy will occur only after the business customer’s explicit written consent.
  • Retention by model providers: model providers may retain information for a limited period for security, abuse prevention, support, or legal compliance, according to each provider’s terms.

13.6 Specific retention periods

Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the business customer, the following retention periods apply to Locwise software / WhatsApp / AI services:

  • Conversations and messages: during the service term, information is retained for up to 365 days from the last message in the conversation, unless another period is set in the agreement with the business customer. After the service ends, the deletion or anonymization process described below applies and will be completed within 30 days, subject to legal retention duties.
  • Voice recordings, images, and documents: stored temporarily to provide the service. During the service term they are retained for up to 365 days from the relevant last message, unless another period is set in the agreement with the business customer. After the service ends, the same deletion or anonymization process applies and will be completed within 30 days, subject to legal retention duties. Temporary Meta media links may expire earlier.
  • System logs (access, faults, monitoring, and security): retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer period is required for a security investigation or legal duty.
  • After termination with a business customer: customer access is revoked when the service ends. Deletion or anonymization of conversation and media data held by Locwise will be completed within 30 days of service end, subject to legal retention duties or other contractual commitments.

13.7 Export and deletion by the business customer

The business customer may request an export of conversations and account-related data, and deletion of specific conversations or data, by emailing info@locwise.com or through the service admin interface if provided. Export or deletion handling time: up to 30 days from receipt of an identified request.

13.8 End users (WhatsApp)

An end user who wants to access, correct, or delete information should first contact the business with which they conversed. You may also contact Locwise at info@locwise.com, and we will forward the request to the business customer or handle it according to our role and applicable law.
